The Lynx Mesa sees the company traversing into the desktop audio interface realm, and judging by the reactions studio engineers, Lynx has succeeded with aplomb. The Mesa is a 14-in/14-out Thunderbolt 3 interface and AD/DA converter that sports the same audio quality and transparency as Lynx's revered Aurora(n) and the same high-contrast capacitive touchscreen interface as Lynx's esteemed Hilo 2. It features four low-noise switchable microphone inputs, two headphone outputs with dedicated D/A conversion and independent level controls, and two monitor outs on balanced 1/4-inch TRS connectors. You'll also find a SynchroLock 2 low-jitter sample clock and I/O for S/PDIF or ADAT, Coax S/PDIF, and Word Clock. Finally, a microSD card slot makes live or remote recordings and playbacks total walks in the park.
Armed with SynchroLock 2 jitter reduction for clear digital audio
The Mesa also includes Lynx's proprietary SynchroLock 2 jitter reduction technology. This Lynx-exclusive feature provides extreme jitter reduction of up to 3,000:1, allowing Mesa to output an extremely clean clock output for driving the digital audio system.
