Searching for a high-channel count solution to Ethernet and Cat 5 cabling's 100-meter limitation? Klark Teknik has your number. A pair of Klark Teknik DN9620 units extends two multimode optical-fiber AES50 connections by 500 meters (or Cat 5 copper-cable connections by 100 meters). This high-capacity solution yields you 48 bidirectional channels at 96kHz or 96 channels at 48kHz. The DN9620 boasts rugged Neutrik etherCON connectors for AES50 ports and copper connections, along with a dual-fiber Neutrik opticalCON DUO connector for optical-fiber connections. You'll appreciate this extender's clock source options, which include front-panel button selection and LED indication. You also get status indicator LEDs for each AES50 port and optical and copper snake connections. Packed into a rugged, half-width rackmount chassis, the DN9620 includes an auto-ranging universal switch-mode power supply.
High-channel counts with SuperMAC networking
The DN9620 employs Klark Teknik's AES50-compliant SuperMAC digital audio networking technology. This yields you high channel counts, ultra-low latency, sample-synchronous and phase-aligned networked clock distribution, error detection and correction, and network redundancy. What's more, the live sound experts have found SuperMAC-equipped devices like the DN9620 easy to use. Thanks to its intelligent SuperMAC implementation, DN9620 is compatible with a wide range of consoles, audio system engines, digital I/O units, and most other AES60-equipped devices.
Effortless, adaptable synchronization
You can synchronize the Klark Teknik DN9620 to its own internal clock, or to an incoming AES50 signal. And it's a breeze to set up, thanks to this extender's convenient front-panel selection button. When using two DN9620 units concurrently in a larger system, the nominal transmitter of the pair will be synchronized to the incoming external AES50 clock, while the nominal receiver will be synchronized to the incoming snake clock. Sample rate selection is just as easy using the front-panel 96kHz/48kHz button. Easy-to-see front-panel status LEDs for AES50 and network synchronization, clock source, sample rate, and snake options round out the DN9620's feature set.
Flexible dual media support
With support for both optical-fiber and copper cables via a Gigabit Ethernet digital audio point-to-point link, the DN9620 offers lots of flexibility. The unit's dual-fiber Neutrik opticalCON DUO connector enables a bidirectional optical link on a single multimode dual-fiber cable. The DN9620 is mighty rugged and reliable as well, courtesy of its premium Neutrik etherCON and opticalCON DUO connectors.
